Kicking off on March 31, 2025, and running through May 17, 2025, this 7-week youth running initiative is designed for students in grades 3-6. Participants will build self-confidence, develop a positive self-image, and embark on a fun-filled training program to prepare for a 5K run.
On May 17, 2025, the excitement culminates with the Pace and Pedal 5K Color Fun Run/Walk at Wazee Lake Recreation Area in Black River Falls at 8:30 AM. This exhilarating event encourages young runners to showcase their skills alongside family and friends. With a focus on empowerment and healthy lifestyle choices, Laces to Leaders is more than just a running program—it's a celebration of teamwork and personal growth. JACKSON IN ACTION IS EXCITED TO OFFER OUR LACES TO LEADERS YOUTH RUNNING PROGRAM AT LINCOLN ELEMENTARY THIS SPRING!
Thank you for your interest in the Laces to Leaders program! This 7-week program will focus on building self-confidence and positive self-image in young girls and boys, while taking part in a 5K run training program. This fun curriculum will teach girls and boys positive life concepts, inspire them to make healthy lifestyle choices, and empower them with the confidence to set and achieve powerful goals! By the end of the program, we hope to see strong, confident young girls and boys who are ready to face challenges and be positive leaders, while at the same time being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a 5K run with the support of their teammates and family members. Let the journey begin!
2025 PROGRAM DETAILS
Dates and Times: March 31 - May 17, 2025
Mondays and Wednesdays 3:15-4:30pm
Participants: Open to Lincoln Elementary students, currently in grades 3-6
Location: Lincoln Elementary

LETS CELEBRATE! Pace and Pedal 5K Color Fun Run The culmination of the Laces to Leaders program is the Pace and Pedal 5K Color Fun Run/Walk on May 17, 2025 at 8:30am at Wazee Lake Recreation Area in Black River Falls. All Laces to Leaders participants are encouraged to participate in the event and complete a 5K with their friends and family! Registration is free for youth ages 12 and under.
Family members are invited to cheer your child on, or if youd like, to run along with them during the 5K. Finishing the 5K will be an exciting moment for your child!
