The 5K run/walk is perfect for everyone—from competitive runners to casual strolls—featuring a new course route and a state-of-the-art chip timing system to enhance your race experience.
The day kicks off with the Fun Run at 8:00 AM, ideal for younger participants and those wanting to cheer for the 5K runners. Following the races, an awards ceremony will celebrate the top performers in various age categories, ensuring everyone feels recognized for their efforts. Don't forget to register by July 31 to secure your unisex shirt! Early packet pickup will take place at the Uniontown Lions Festival from August 13-16, with event day pickup available from 6:30-7:30 AM near the start line at the Lake Community YMCA. Organiser's Description
The 2nd annual Lake Community Hope 5k run/walk and fun run will be on 8/17/25. This even will occur in the Lake Community with the partnership of the Lake Community YMCA, to raise money for the Lake Community Hope Scholarship Fund in Memory of Melissa, Renee, Amber and Evan.
This year we will feature a new course route and the opportunity for more sponsors and vendors to participate.
The 5k is designed for both competitive runners, joggers, power walkers and those just out for a stroll. The 5k will feature a chip timing system this year!
The fun run is great for younger kiddos and those that want to participate but also want to cheer on the 5k event or even volunteer.
Shirt:
All participants that register by July 31 will receive a unisex shirt. SHIRT SIZES WILL BE LIMITED AFTER JULY 31 WITH LIMITED SELECTION!
