Join us for the Annual LAPD Foothill Fitness Run on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the scenic Hansen Dam Aquatic Center in Sylmar, Los Angeles! This exciting event features a variety of race distances, including a 5K, 10K, and a fun 1K run/walk for kids, making it a perfect day out for families and fitness enthusiasts alike. The Foothill Fitness Run not only promotes physical health but also supports vital youth programs from the Foothill Station, such as the LAPD Jr. Cadet Program and enrichment initiatives.
Race day kicks off early with setup starting at 5:00 AM, followed by an opening ceremony at 7:00 AM. Participants can lace up their running shoes for the 1K at 7:30 AM, and the 5K/10K races begin at 8:00 AM. The first 1,000 participants will receive a special medal and a T-shirt, so don’t miss out! With a multi-surface course that includes both cement and trail running, this event promises a fun and challenging experience for all. Welcome to our Annual Foothills Fitness Run! This event is a 5K/10K/1K race and resource fair which will be held at the beautiful Hansen Dam Aquatic Center. This event will help promote Youth Programs from the Foothill Station such as LAPD Jr. Cadet Program, LAPD Cadet Program, Foothill Jeopardy and enrichment programs. There will also be a 1K fun run/walk for kids. Its a great way to have everyone all come together and just have fun. First 1000 participants will receive a medal & T-shirt
