Le Tour de Bayou is Central Louisiana's premier cycling event, offering riders a scenic tour through the rolling countryside, historic communities, and beautiful bayou landscapes surrounding Alexandria and Pineville. Cyclists of all experience levels can choose from multiple route options ranging from shorter recreational rides to challenging long-distance routes. Participants will enjoy fully supported courses with SAG stops, refreshments, route markings, and a post-ride celebration. Proceeds support the preservation and educational mission of Kent Plantation House.

Le Tour de Bayou features scenic paved routes through the rural roads and bayou country of Central Louisiana. Riders will experience rolling terrain, beautiful countryside views, historic communities, and well-supported rest stops along the way. Route options accommodate recreational cyclists as well as experienced endurance riders.

How to Get There

Kent Plantation House is located at 3601 Bayou Rapides Road in Alexandria, Louisiana. Riders should follow event signage upon arrival. Check-in and packet pickup will be located on-site.

Parking

Free on-site parking is available for participants and spectators. Additional overflow parking my be available nearby as directed by event staff. Please follow parking attendants and event signage.

Location

Le Tour de Bayou begins and ends at Kent Plantation House, Central Louisiana's oldest standing structure. The historic site serves as the event headquarters, rider check-in location, and post-ride gathering area.

  • What route distances are available?

    Multiple route options are available ranging from shorter recreational rides to longer endurance routes. Our route options range from 101-miles, 69-miles, 40-miles, 25-miles, 10-miles, and a 2-mile Family Fun Ride/Walk. Visit the event website for current route information.

  • Are SAG stops provided?

    Yes. SAG stops with water, sports drinks, snacks, and support are located throughout all routes.

  • Do I need a helmet?

    Yes. Approved bicycle helmets are required for all riders.

  • Can I register on race day?
