This exciting event invites participants of all ages to explore the beautiful Ballard neighborhood, starting from the heart of Ballard and stretching to the stunning Shilshole Bay. Whether you're an adult, a teenager, or a child, there's a place for everyone to join in on the fun. Registration fees are just $20 for adults (18+), $10 for teens (13-17), and children 12 and under can participate for free!
Check-in begins at 8:00 am, with the race kicking off around 9:00 am. Each participant will receive a Norwegian flag, a delicious treat at the finish line, and the chance to sport some fun Nordic temporary tattoos. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded to top finishers, as well as for those who showcase creativity and spirit! After the race, stick around to immerse yourself in Nordic culture with live music, delicious food, and Scandinavian baked goods like cookies and lefse. Join us for the annual running of the Leif to Leif 5k!! We hope you are ready to get some exercise and explore Ballard with us.
From the heart of Ballard to Shilshole Bay, the Sons of Norway Leif Erikson Lodge is proud to announce our annual 5k!
5k Fun Run / Walk:
* Adult (18yr+) - $20
* 13-17 yr - $10
* Child 12 and under - FREE
Check in begins at 8:00am. Race starts around 9am. All runners receive a Norwegian flag, a tasty treat at the finish line and free Nordic temporary tattoos will be available for those wishing to partake. Top finishers will receive ribbons and prizes, with prizes also being awarded for fun and creative participants!
Stick around after the run and enjoy some Nordic culture in the main hall! We will be treated to live music and other Nordic cultural demonstrations. We will be serving hot food, Scandinavian baked items (cookies, lefse, blotkake, krumkake), coffee, soda and more.
