Get ready for an exhilarating day of fitness and fun at the 51st Lincoln-Douglas 3 Mile and 8 Mile Race on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in the charming town of Metamora, Woodford. This exciting event kicks off bright and early, with the 8 Mile and 3 Mile races starting at 7:30 AM, followed by the Kids 1/2 Mile Fun Run for participants aged 12 and under at 8:00 AM. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to enjoy a brisk walk, both the 3 Mile and 8 Mile courses promise a scenic experience, starting in front of MTCO and finishing at the historic Metamora Courthouse.
Participants can register for the race at a fee of $25 if done by June 17, or $30 thereafter. The first 150 entries for the 3 Mile and 8 Mile races will receive a stylish T-shirt, and all finishers in the Kids Fun Run will be awarded participation ribbons. With trophies for the top male and female finishers in each race, along with age group awards, this event celebrates athletic achievement for everyone. TIME: 7:30 AM 8 MILE AND 3 MILE RUN ( WALKERS WELCOME IN THE 3 MILE RUN)
TIME: 8:00 AM 1/2 MILE KIDS FUN RUN (12 AND UNDER)
COURSE: BOTH RACES START IN FRONT OF MTCO AND FINISH IN FRONT OF THE HISTORIC METAMORA COURTHOUSE
ENTRY FEE: $25.00 IF PAID BY JUNE 17, $30.00 AFTER JUNE 17. T-SHIRTS WILL BE GIVEN TO THE FIRST 150 ENTRIES FOR THE 3 AND 8 MILE RUNNERS.
PACKET PICKUP: RUNNERS ARE TO PICK UP THEIR NUMBERS OR REGISTER AT METAMORA TWP. HS FROM 6:30 TO 7:15.
