Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the exciting Louise Hammond Memorial Beardance Run on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, in the beautiful Towaoc, Montezuma! This vibrant event invites runners of all levels to participate in various race distances, including a challenging 10k, a scenic Half Marathon, and a fun 5k. The 10k and Half Marathon courses feature an out-and-back route that begins with a gentle incline on pavement before transitioning to an unmaintained dirt road, providing a unique and invigorating running experience. The 5k follows a similar path, starting on pavement and turning around at a scenic water tower. The first 20 registrants in each category will receive a complimentary t-shirt, and there are overall prizes for the top three male and female finishers in both the 10k and Half Marathon. With water stations available along the routes, runners can stay refreshed and energized. 10k and Half Marathon: out-and-back, the first mile is a gradual incline on pavement, then onto an unmaintained dirt road. There will be water stations along the way.
5k: Starts on pavement for the first mile which is a gradual incline then onto a dirt road, turn around at water tower. Water Station at turn around.
