Not only will you receive a commemorative short-sleeved race shirt and a custom finisher medal, but you can also bring your furry friends along for the fun! For a small additional fee, dogs can join in on the race, with proceeds benefiting the Friends of Louisville Metro Animal Services. Each registered pup will receive a special bandana to show off their participation. After crossing the finish line, don't miss the after-pawty at Club K9 Dog Park Bar from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., where dogs with collapsible bowls get their owners in for free! Organiser's Description
The Louisville Pure Tap 5K, presented by the Louisville Water Company, begins and ends at the home of Louisvilles award-winning drinking water: Louisville Water Tower (3005 River Road). This family-friendly race follows a scenic course running east and west along River Road.
The race will start at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 29, 2026. It will be professionally chip-timed, and all participants will receive a commemorative Louisville Pure Tap 5K short-sleeved race shirt and a custom finisher medal.
Once again this year, participants are invited to bring their dogs along for the run. There is an additional $10 fee to register dogs, available as a race add-on, with proceeds benefiting Friends of Louisville Metro Animal Services. Registered dogs will receive a special bandana to recognize their participation.
After the race, join us for the after-pawty from 11 a.m.3 p.m. at Club K9 Dog Park Bar (9316 Taylorsville Road). Dogs bringing their collapsible bowl get their owners in for free. All dogs must be spayed or neutered and provide proof of rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccinations.
