Join us for the fourth annual Love in Action Walk/Run on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Vista View Park in Davie, Broward! Organized by the Carmelas Heart Foundation, this uplifting event invites participants to run with purpose and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families in Venezuela affected by the humanitarian crisis. Choose from three exciting race distances: a 1K Walk, a 5K Run, or a challenging 10K Run, starting at 7:30 AM.
The day kicks off at 6:00 AM with packet pickup, followed by a heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem at 7:25 AM. Families and friends are encouraged to join the after-party featuring music, refreshments, and vendor exhibitions starting at 8:00 AM, along with an awards presentation at approximately 8:30 AM. This is more than just a race; it’s a beautiful opportunity to turn compassion into action. There is no on-site registration; however, online registration will remain open until 6:55 AM. Online registration is mobile device-friendly!
THE COURSE includes a 5K (3.10-mile) route that winds around and over two hills in the park. The 10K (6.20-mile) option features a second loop of the same course.
RESULTS will be available on-site; however, you are encouraged to sign up to receive your results via text after completing your event.
AWARDS will be offered to the top male and female finishers as well as the top three in each age group. Overall awards are based upon gun time (gun to chip). All other awards (age groups) are based upon chip time (chip to chip). You must be present to receive the award.
We intend to hold a safe and enjoyable race experience for all participants. Should anything come up that might compromise our ability to fulfill that commitment (severe weather, government restrictions, etc), we will automatically transfer all in-person registrations to the virtual race.
Participants in the virtual event will have their running kit sent to the valid US address used during registration within 2 weeks of the in-person event. Please allow for transit time. We ship via the United States Postal Service.
HOW TO GET THERE
Vista View Park is in western Broward County.
From the East: Take 595 West to exit 2&3 towards Hiatus Road. Keep to the left as you exit. Continue to Flamingo Road and make a left (south). In about 1.4 miles, make a right onto Orange Drive, then make a right on SW 142nd Avenue. Vista View Park is 0.25 miles down on the left.
From the South: Take I75 North. Exit at Griffin Road and head east for about 0.5 miles. Turn left over Winkopp Bridge and then turn right on Orange Drive, then make the first left (on SW 142nd Avenue). Vista View Park is 0.25 miles down on the left.
From the North: Take I75 South and exit at Griffin Road. Head east for about 0.5 miles. Turn left over Winkopp Bridge and then turn right on Orange Drive, then make the first left. Vista View Park is 0.25 miles down on the left.
From the West: Take I75 South and exit at Griffin Road. Head east for about 0.5 miles. Turn left over Winkopp Bridge and then turn right on Orange Drive, then make the first left. Vista View Park is 0.25 miles down on the left.
Please note: The entrance to the park can get backed up. We are covering the park entrance fee to help reduce the backup, but please plan to arrive early enough to allow for some delays entering the park.

Love the race and the environment. I did 2nd place in my group age and was very happy. Definitely going again this year
I loved participating in this race organized for Carmela’s Heart Foundation. It was such a fun event in a beautiful location, and the best part is knowing that every dollar collected goes to help children living in poverty. It feels great to enjoy a good time while supporting such a meaningful cause. Highly recommend.

Awesome race! Beautiful course with a couple of fun hills to keep it interesting. Everything was super well organized, easy check-in, clear course, great volunteers, and perfect vibes all around. I’d definitely run it again!
