This exciting event kicks off at the Shamrock Irish Pub and features both a 5K run and a Green Mile run, along with walking options for participants who prefer a more leisurely pace. With race day packet pickup starting at 8:30 AM and the festivities officially beginning at 10:30 AM, there's plenty of time to join in on the fun.
The scenic course will take runners over the beautiful Clinton River, past the historic St. Lawrence Parish, and through the vibrant downtown area of Utica, culminating at the finish line in front of Host Utica. Don't miss the pre-race costume contest at 10:15 AM, and be sure to stick around for the awards presentation at 11:15 AM. With free parking and post-race celebrations featuring local restaurants, the Lucky Leprechaun Race promises to be a fantastic day filled with community spirit and athletic achievement. _COURSE DESCRIPTION: THE RACE BEGINS IN FRONT OF THE SHAMROCK IRISH PUB WITH SLIGHT DOWN HILL SLOPE TO ENSURE A QUICK START. RUNNERS WILL CROSS OVER THE CLINTON RIVER, ZOOM PAST JIMMY JOHN'S FIELD AND HANG A LEFT TO CROSSOVER M-59 AND ONTO UTICA RD. NEXT YOU'LL PASS BY HISTORIC ST. LAWRENCE PARRISH WHICH WAS FOUNDED BY IRISH FAMILIES. HEADING BACK TOWARDS DOWNTOWN RUNNERS WILL CROSSOVER THE CLINTON RIVER AGAIN THEN TRAVERSE THEIR WAY THRU THE 'WORLD FAMOUS GRAFFITI TUNNEL" UNDER M-59 (GREAT PLACE TO MAKE NOISE). RUNNERS WILL HEAD NORTH ON THE TRAIL AND CROSSOVER AT THE DOG PARK TURNAROUND POINT ON BROWNELL AVE. THE FINAL STRAIGHT AWAY ON BROWNELL AVE WILL TAKE YOU INTO DOWNTOWN UTICA AND THE FINISH LINE ON AUBURN IN FRONT OF HOST._

Virtual runners will receive a shirt and a medal for completing the race which will be mailed to you. Your items will be mailed to you on March 9th. No awards will be given for the virtual race and your time is not recorded. You may run your 5K on a treadmill or your favorite course between. You may run alone or in a group, whichever you prefer. Upon completion of your run or walk please post your results on our Facebook page.
