If you prefer a more leisurely experience, join the 1.25-mile fun walk, which is stroller-friendly and perfect for families. While the 5k begins at 8:00 AM, the fun walk will kick off shortly after at approximately 8:10 AM. Don’t miss your chance to snag a stylish race tee or tank by signing up before April 14. Each participant will receive a swag bag filled with goodies, and you can pick it up either on April 24 or race day morning. Join us for the annual Madison Athletic Boosters Spring 5k!
Located at the Elk Creek Metro park (5101 Circle Pkwy Middletown, OH 45042) the 5k course will take a scenic route within the park, with great views of various ponds and beautiful trees. In addition to the 5k there will also be a 1.25 mile fun walk. The fun walk is not timed.
(Strollers are welcome for the fun run/walk section, but the 5k is NOT stroller friendly due to gravel)
Runners can buy a race tee or tank if they sign up before 4/15. Each runner will get a swag bag. The bags can be picked up in the Madison Community Room on 4/24 between 4-6:30pm, or on race day prior at the event, between 7am-8am. Prizes for all age groups in the 5k event. 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+ age brackets.
Spirit of the Mohawk signs:
You are brave. You are strong. You are courageous. You are kind. You are fierce. You are loved. Do you know someone who embodies the Spirit of the Madison Mohawk that you would like to honor along our race course? Past or current Mohawk athletes, coaches, teachers, administrators, bus drivers, police officers, school resource officers, cafeteria workers, Mohawk community members, current senior class, alumni, or special friends. Honor their Mohawk spirit by purchasing a sign to display along our race course at Elk Creek Metropark Meadow Ridge area (Old Weatherwax golf course) Signs are $10 and will display your honorees full name. Signs can be collected after the finish of the race.
