Event summary
Join us for the vibrant and exciting 17th Annual Manatee Center 5K, One-Mile, & Kids Run on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in beautiful Fort Pierce, St. Lucie! This family-friendly event kicks off early at 6:30 AM with race-day packet pick-up and registration, followed by the Kids Fun Run at 7:45 AM. The main event, the 5K walk/run, starts at 8:00 AM, with an untimed One-Mile Walk beginning shortly after at 8:05 AM.
Participants can enjoy a USATF certified 5K course that offers stunning views of the Indian River Lagoon, while also having the chance to earn awards in various age categories. The first 200 registrants will receive beautiful finisher's medals, and all 5K participants will take home a runner's goody bag and a tech shirt (guaranteed until February 28th). Don’t miss out on the fun and camaraderie, with refreshments and awards following the races! THE ONE-MILE ROUTE FOLLOWS THE 5K ROUTE BUT TURNS TOWARD THE BEAUTIFUL INDIAN RIVER LAGOON BEFORE CROSSING OVER SEAWAY DRIVE BRIDGE. THIS ROUTE IS UNTIMED AND THERE WILL NOT BE AWARDS, BUT ALL REGISTRANTS WILL RECEIVE TICKETS TO THE VERY POPULAR RUNNERS DRAWING.
THIS RACE IS A FUNDRAISER FOR THE FRIENDS OF THE MANATEE CENTER, WHICH SUPPORTS THE OPERATIONS OF THE MANATEE CENTER IN FORT PIERCE. ALL PROCEEDS STAY LOCAL AND ARE DEDICATED TO ENHANCING ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION THROUGH THE MANATEE CENTER, FOCUSING ON CONSERVATION AND PRESERVATION OF THE INDIAN RIVER LAGOON, AN ESTUARY OF NATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE, MARINE LIFE WITHIN THE LAGOON, AND THE SURROUNDING ECOSYSTEMS.
