Join us for the inspiring "March March" event on Saturday, March 28th, 2026, in the beautiful coastal town of Montauk, Suffolk! This empowering 40-mile march kicks off at the iconic Montauk Lighthouse and winds its way to the spot of the very first Firehouse Friday protest across from the Montauk Highway Fire Department in Hampton Bays. Whether you want to tackle the entire distance or join in for just a portion of the route, everyone is welcome to participate.
This event aims to raise awareness and boost participation in the OLA Rapid Response Network's "Operation Stand and Protect," while also gathering vital funds for community initiatives such as vigils and protests. Participants can walk solo, join a team, or simply come out to cheer on the marchers at designated rally points along the way. Registration is optional but provides a chance to create a fundraising page and secure a stylish event T-shirt. Be a part of this meaningful day, where we unite to demand justice and accountability for all!

Organiser's Description
On Saturday, March 28th Anita and Joe will be marching a total of 40 miles. From the Montauk Lighthouse all the way to the spot of our first Firehouse Friday protest across the street from the Montauk Highway Fire Department in Hampton Bays. The course is about 40 miles and participants are invited to join for as much or as little as they want! You can also join by coming to cheer us on at a rally point along the way.

OUR GOALS ARE TO:
* Raise Awareness an boost participation in the OLA Rapid Response Network "Operation Stand and Protect"
* Raise funds to support community organizing, vigils, protests, and OLA's integral work on the East End
* Demand justice for victims and accountability from our government so we can truly have freedom and justice for all!
HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE?
* Join a team! Team leaders will rally groups for specific sections of the walk and raise funds as a team.
* Fly solo! Drop in at any point along the route for as long as you like!
* Cheer the walkers on along the way!
_PLEASE NOTE:_
_You do NOT need to register in order to walk with us, anyone and everyone is welcome to pop in! The registration on this site allows you to create your own fundraising page if you want to help with the peer to peer fundraising. The registration fee goes to cover the admin costs and the T-shirt! So if you want a dope shirt, register. If you don't, don't! It's all good either way. _
_Direct donations can be made to fundraisers without registering, just get a link from whatever March March team leader or participant that you would like to donate through!_
