Join us for the uplifting Matt St. James 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Rochester, Monroe! This inspiring event honors the journey of Matt St. James, a dedicated runner and graduate of Churchville-Chili High School. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to participate on the scenic Matt St. James cross country trails. The race will kick off at 10 a.m., followed by a fun 1K Kids Run after the 5K event.
Registration fees are set at $25 for pre-registration until August 4, $30 from August 5 to 22, and $35 on race day. Participants will receive a T-shirt when they pre-register, with additional shirts available for purchase. This year, the event supports the nonprofit organization "Operation Caring Hearts," which provides essential services to the homeless and veterans in Rochester. HISTORY Matt St. James is a 2003 Churchville-Chili High School graduate. He graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College in 2007 with a degree in Social Work. As an undergraduate, Matthew was a top runner on the Cross Country and Track teams for four years. He was out running every day, giving it his all, running for the glory of God. On March 14, 2007, Matt was running at practice on the outdoor track when he had cardiac arrest with a brain injury as a result. After spending over 3 years at Monroe Community Hospital, he is now living at home. Matt has come a long way since that day. God is doing a mighty work in Matt.

5K COURSE INFO: On the Matt St.James cross country trails at 10 a.m. Walkers will start at 10 a.m. as well. Please line up behind runners.
KIDS RUN: 1K run - Beginning at the completion of the 5k - Free (t-shirt not included)
5K ENTRY FEE: $25 per person pre-registration (through August 4); $30 per person August 5-22 $35 Race Day
AWARDS: There will be awards for the 5K!
