Join us on Saturday, May 16, 2026, for the exciting Never Ever MTBers & Beginners event at Bluestem Prairie Open Space in beautiful Colorado Springs, El Paso. This friendly and inclusive ride is perfect for newcomers and those looking to build confidence before the biking season kicks off. Starting at 9 a.m. and wrapping up around 11 a.m., participants will enjoy a relaxed, entry-level mountain biking experience with a focus on camaraderie.
Whether you're a seasoned rider or just starting out, this event welcomes non-WMBA friends, so feel free to bring a buddy! With a no-drop policy in place, no one will be left behind as you navigate the stunning trails together. Be sure to check in by 8:45 a.m. to find your riding group. Don’t forget to bring your mountain bike in safe condition, a helmet, water, snacks, and sunscreen. Come make new friends and enjoy the great outdoors!

Parking: At the main trailhead off of Goldfield Drive.
This ride is open to non-WMBA participants who want to try out a ride before signing up! A WMBA member can register guests - the guest will need to sign a waiver before the ride. Please email bod@wmbacos.org if any questions!
This ride is an entry level ride for anyone looking to gain a little confidence heading into the riding season! We want our group rides to be a place you can come to be with friends. We have a no drop policy, so we will not leave anyone behind. This special Saturday morning ride starts at 9 a.m. and should end around 11 a.m. Please check in by 8:45 a.m. to find your group.
If this event has to be cancelled for any reason, all participants will be emailed and we will post the notification on Facebook by 7:30 a.m.
Don't forget to bring:
A mountain bike in reliable and safe condition
A helmet
Water, snacks, sunscreen
