Organiser's Description
Megan Bugg passed away on March 9, 2022 after a courageous and inspirational seven year battle with childhood cancer. During her fight, Megan became a passionate national advocate for childhood cancer advocacy and research. Her advocacy efforts led to her speaking in Washington, D.C. and raising nearly $1 million to fund promising childhood cancer research. The Megan's Mission Foundation [https://www.megansmission.org/] was founded in Megan's memory to continue pursuing her dream of ending childhood cancer through advocacy and research. To date, the Megan's Mission Foundation [https://www.megansmission.org/] has raised over $2.6 million to fund the most promising childhood cancer research in the country taking place in the _"Megan Bugg Global Rhabdomyosarcoma Research Laboratory"_ at the Children's Cancer Therapy Development Institute [https://cc-tdi.org/]. All funds from this event will support the Megan's Mission Foundation [https://www.megansmission.org/] and our commitment to realizing Megan's dream that no more children will experience childhood cancer.
