Join us for the exciting MEMORIAL MILE on Monday, May 25, 2026, in the vibrant community of Fruitport, Muskegon! This spirited event, held in conjunction with the Fruitport Old Fashioned Days Parade, invites participants to put their speed to the test in a one-mile race, all while being cheered on by enthusiastic parade spectators. Starting at 1:45 PM, runners and walkers alike will take to the course beginning at Edgewood Elementary School, following the festive parade route and culminating near the carnival.
This unique race not only promises adrenaline-pumping fun, but also honors local heroes. Each participant will receive a special registration T-shirt featuring the name of a Fruitport resident who has served or is currently serving in the armed forces. Be among the first 40 participants to secure a shirt, as sizes are limited! Don’t forget, registration will be available from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, with late registration until 1:30 PM. Arrive early to ensure your spot and enjoy the festivities, as roads will close at 1:40 PM. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers, so lace up those running shoes and get

Organiser's Description
In Cooperation with the Fruitport Old Fashioned Days Parade. Come out and Test your True Mile Speed while being cheered on by a line of parade watchers. This unique race is sure to get the adrenaline going.
This year, participants will recieve a registration T-Shirt. We would like you to wear the shirt during the race. The shirt will have a name of a Fruitport resident who has or is serving their country in the armed forces. Run/walk a mile in their name. Shirts are limited to the first 40 participants. Sizes are also limited.

PARKING:
Park where you can in the lots by Edgwood and the high school.
NOTICE: COME EARLY AS THEY SHUT THE ROADS DOWN FOR THE PARADE. ROADS CLOSE AT 1:40.
