The 5K course is paved and designed to accommodate participants with varying speeds, ensuring an enjoyable experience for everyone.
The event kicks off at 8:45 AM, and participants can look forward to exciting prizes, including certificates for the fastest overall male, female, and non-binary runners, along with medals for the first 750 finishers. Plus, the first 1,000 registrants will receive a special t-shirt! Best of all, the proceeds from the Mercer County Turkey Trot will support local food banks and pantries, making your participation a wonderful way to give back to the community during the holiday season. The Twelfth Annual Mercer County Turkey Trot -- a 5K race and 1 mile fun run/walk -- will take place on Thanksgiving Day. We look forward to making this event the most successful one yet! The proceeds from the Race support our local food banks and pantries.
EVENT INFO
The 5K course is certified by USA Track & Field (_click here for a map of the race course_ [https://www.mercercountyturkeytrot.com/post/race-course]). The course is paved. The race is open to runners, families, and strollers. No dogs allowed. We will put the serious, faster runners in the front, and we will stage the runners by approximate run times.
1 Mile Walk/Fun Run. The walk/fun run follows a portion of the 5K course. This event is open to runners, families, and stroller. No dogs allowed. No chip is worn, so no time is registered for the fun run/walk. Please note we will start this event at 8:45am.
Winners certificates for the fastest overall male, female and non-binary runners as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd place runners in each age group.
*T-shirts available for the first 1,000 registrants. Limited sizes available. Medal available for the first 750 finishers.*
PACKET PICK-UP
If you are participating in the 5k (1 Mile Fun Run/Walk participants do not need a bib number) Race bibs and Mercer County Turkey Trot t-shirts can be picked up in advance of the race Sunday, November 24th or Tuesday, November 26th. Both Pickups will occur at McCaffrey's in West Windsor in the Bistro area upstairs. On Sunday, we will be there from 9:30am-3pm, and on Tuesday, we will be there from 4-6:30pm.
On race day, Packet Pick-up will begin at 7 am in the pavilion at the West Picnic Area in Mercer County Park. PLEASE try and pickup your packet on November 24th or November 26th to minimize the crunch before the race.
FORM A TEAM
Grab your friends and form a team to help provide for those in need in these difficult times. Teams with over 10 members will get $3 off registration for each team member.

The race committee will oversee the donation of the net proceeds from the event to local food pantries.
