Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun day out with the family, this race has something for everyone, including a dog and stroller-friendly option with separate waves! Registration kicks off bright and early at 6:30 AM, followed by the race start at 8:00 AM. Awards will be presented for the overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three runners in each age category and a special prize for the most decorated patriotic stroller. This second annual event is dedicated to honoring veterans, and nominations for this year’s honorees are currently open. Join us in promoting health in our community while supporting a worthy cause—together, we can make a difference!

It is getting to be that time again. Race is just around the corner. November 7, 2026
The Mighty Heros 5K is a race to benefit Mighty Hero Homes an organization dedicated to eliminating Veteran Homelessness, because THEY DESERVE BETTER! The race will be a wonderful run in McDonough, GA, Henry County through the Lake Dow and Lake Dow Estates communities. All proceeds from the race will go directly to Mighty Hero Homes. Henry County is the scheduled location for the first Mighty Hero Community construction. All proceeds from this race will go to Mighty Hero Homes Organization.
Event also promotes health in the community.
This is the second annual event.
Every race will be dedicated to a Veteran. We are now accepting Veteran nominations for the 2026 race. Nominations can be living, retired, active, or deceased. Please send nominations in the form of a 1 page email to Cplloyd1313@gmail.com This is the race email site, or if you do not want to send an email you can drop off the nomination at the MIghty Hero Homes main office in McDonough in a sealed envelope with Attn: Crystal Preston-Lloyd, Might Hero Homes 5 K race nomination.
