This year marks the second annual event, and each race is dedicated to honoring a veteran. Nominations for veterans—living, retired, active, or deceased—are currently being accepted, adding an extra layer of meaning to the day. The fun kicks off with registration beginning at 6:30 AM and the race starting at 8:00 AM. Not only will there be awards for the overall male and female finishers and the top three runners in each age group, but there’s also a special award for the most decorated patriotic stroller! The Mighty Heros 5K is a race to benefit Mighty Hero Homes an organization dedicated to eliminating Veteran Homelessness, because THEY DESERVE BETTER! The race will be a wonderful run in McDonough, GA, Henry County through the Lake Dow and Lake Dow Estates communities. All proceeds from the race will go directly to Mighty Hero Homes. Henry County is the scheduled location for the first Mighty Hero Community construction. All proceeds from this race will go to Mighty Hero Homes Organization.
Event also promotes health in the community.
