Join us for the heartwarming MikeyG Memorial 5K Fun Run on Saturday, June 28, 2025, in Germantown, Shelby. This special event is dedicated to honoring the legacy of Mike Gresham, a beloved member of the Germantown Baptist Church community and a passionate supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Participants will have the opportunity to run or walk a full 5K on the very paths where Mike began his journey into running. For those not quite ready for the full distance, shorter options will be available, ensuring everyone can join in the fun and camaraderie.
Gather with friends and family to share stories about MikeyG while supporting a fantastic cause. Feel free to wear your favorite St. Jude or GBC shirts as we come together to raise funds for St. Jude in his honor. The event will take place on the GBC campus, with parking conveniently located at the back north parking lot. The Start/Finish line will be under the covered canopy, ready to welcome participants of all ages. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate a remarkable life and make a difference!

Organiser's Description
Join us to honor the memory of Mike Gresham (aka MikeyG) who was a staple at Germantown Baptist Church and huge advocate for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and passed away April 13, 2025. Mike started running in a Couch to 5K program at GBC so it is only fitting to have a memorial run/walk (not a race) in his his memory on the GBC campus on some of the very paths he started his running journey. The full distance will be 5K but we anticipate having some shorter distances available for those that want to participate but aren't ready for a 5K yet.
This is a casual event to honor and remember MikeyG - join us to swap storied about Mike and help raise funds for St. Jude in his name and memory Feel free to wear your favorite St. Jude or GBC shirts.
Maps will be posted soon. Parking is available at the back (north) parking lot of the church and Start/Finish will be held under the covered canopy in the back (north) side of the church.
