Join us for the exciting Military Matters VeteRUN 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in beautiful Kansas City, Jackson! This annual event is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come together in support of our local veterans and military service members. The 5K run/walk kicks off at 8:00 AM, following a morning of packet pick-up starting at 7:00 AM. Participants of all ages are encouraged to join in the fun, with a special Kids Fun Run scheduled after the 5K at 8:45 AM.
Not only will you enjoy a scenic racecourse, but your participation also helps raise vital funds for Military Matters, a program dedicated to providing essential legal services to veterans. Plus, there will be plenty of family-friendly activities and opportunities to connect with various organizations supporting our heroes. Don’t forget to register by August 11 to guarantee your event t-shirt! Celebrate health, community, and support for our military at the Military Matters VeteRUN 5K!

WELCOME TO THE ANNUAL MILITARY MATTERS VETERUN 5K!
ANYONE CAN RUN/WALK IN SUPPORT OF MILITARY MATTERS! We will be hosting multiple organizations who support our local veterans, and will have fun family activities available for all who attend.
PROCEEDS FROM THE 5K WILL GO TO MILITARY MATTERS, A PROGRAM THAT FILLS THE GAP IN LEGAL SERVICES TO MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS AND VETERANS. TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM VISIT MILITARYMATTERSKC.ORG.
RACECOURSE: See below for a map of the racecourse. PLEASE NOTE: We have updated the race course to be the same start/end point to ensure better accuracy of your race times. Please take caution if you plan to run/walk with a stroller or wheelchair as the route is typical sidewalk-width.
