Join us for the Annual Military Matters VeteRUN 5K Run/Walk in Kansas City, Jackson, taking place from August 15 to 16, 2026! This exciting event is open to everyone who wants to support our local veterans and their families. Participants can enjoy a 5K run or walk, with the race kicking off at 8:00 AM on August 15. It's a perfect opportunity to get active while raising funds for Military Matters, a program dedicated to providing essential legal services to military service members and veterans.
In addition to the 5K, there will be plenty of fun family activities throughout the event, ensuring a great time for all ages. Don't miss out on the Kids Fun Run following the 5K at 8:45 AM, and stick around for the awards ceremony at 9:00 AM, where we’ll celebrate the top runners, including overall winners and age group champions. Make sure to register by August 1 to guarantee your event t-shirt and join us in making a difference for our heroes!

WELCOME TO THE ANNUAL MILITARY MATTERS VETERUN 5K!
ANYONE CAN RUN/WALK IN SUPPORT OF MILITARY MATTERS! We will be hosting multiple organizations who support our local veterans, and will have fun family activities available for all who attend.
PROCEEDS FROM THE 5K WILL GO TO MILITARY MATTERS, A PROGRAM THAT FILLS THE GAP IN LEGAL SERVICES TO MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS AND VETERANS. TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM VISIT MILITARYMATTERSKC.ORG.
RACECOURSE: See below for a map of the racecourse. PLEASE NOTE: We have updated the race course to be the same start/end point to ensure better accuracy of your race times. Please take caution if you plan to run/walk with a stroller or wheelchair as the route is typical sidewalk-width.
