Organiser's Description
The forcast has been back and forth about light rain before and/or during the race. We are modifying the run to avoid mud on the trail and modifying the bike to avoid the hill between the park entrance and Rd 145/Rd 211.
* New Run: all on the road so people will not slip on the trail, one lap for sprint, two laps for Olympic.
* Alternate Bike Course: Turnaround at the Toll Booth, two loops for the sprint, and four loops for the olympic

The Millerton Lake Sprint Triathlon has long been known as a great "first lake swim" triathlon, and a warm up for the upcoming season. But don't let the bike and run distances fool you, there are a few steep hills on the ride, and the trail portion of run is a challenge.
More of a good thing... The Olympic Distance has a more challenging swim, two loops of the bike course, and two loops of the run course with a trail run heading out, a paved road coming back and beautiful Millerton Lake as the backdrop.
NOTE:
A USAT membership is required for the Triathlon, (but not the 5k/10k) If you do not have one, you can purchase one during the registration process. Per USAT rules, multisport participants must present ID and USAT membership card at packet pickup.
Total participation at this event is capped at 200. Register before it is sold out.
There is a $10 vehicle entrance fee.

New in 2023! Super Sprint Tri - 400 yd swim | 5.4 mi bike | 2.2 mi run Swim: Beginning in the water at Millerton, athletes will utilize Millerton Lake Boat Launch. Participants swim around buoys for 400 yards, exit the water at the boat ramp and proceed to the Transition Area. Bike: Beginning at the Transition Area, athletes will make their way north towards the Millerton toll booth, then return to transition. Run: The run is entirely on asphalt, running 1.1 miles to the aid station, turning around and returning to transition. -

Sprint Tri - 800 yd swim | 10.5 mile bike | 3.1 mile run Swim: Beginning in the water at Millerton, athletes will utilize Millerton Lake Boat Launch. Bike: Beginning at the Transition Area, athletes will make their way north towards the Millerton park entrance and proceed to the turn around at the end of the road. The bike is out and back with rolling hills. Run: Run is a mixture of single track trail and asphalt. Beginning at the Transition Area, athletes head north from the parking lot along the street for approximately 1 mile where they will veer right on to a single track trail towards Millerton park entrance. Athletes will turn left to exit the tail and head back to transition on the road. -
