Get ready for an exciting day of fun and fitness at the Mini Mortals Triathlon taking place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Pueblo! This unique event is designed for young athletes and features a reverse order youth triathlon that allows participants to race based on their age as of December 31 of this year. Kids aged 5-8 will run a 0.5-mile course, bike 1.6 miles, and swim a short 25-yard distance. Participants aged 9-11 will tackle a 1-mile run, a 4.4-mile bike ride, and a 150-yard swim, while those aged 12-15 will complete a 2-mile run, 7.2-mile bike, and 300-yard swim.

The Mini Mortals Triathlon is not just about competition; it's a celebration of community spirit! Families often come out in droves, with multiple generations participating together, creating a festive atmosphere. Organiser's Description

We hope to see you in May 2025 but we are still trying to secure at date. We are not sure the university will let us host it on May 10th.

We will be looking for clubs, teams and groups willing to work a section of the race for a $150-300 donation to your community group or cause. This race has always been about building community and we want to invite the community to join us and support your local mission. Check out the volunteer tab for more details.

MINI MORTALS TRIATHLON (MMT) IS A REVERSE ORDER YOUTH TRIATHLON FOLLOWING THE ORDINARY MORTALS RACE AND DISTANCES ARE BASED ON THE AGE OF PARTICIPANT ON 12/31 OF THIS YEAR. FOR EXAMPLE AN 8-YEAR OLD CHILD TURNING 9 AT ANY POINT DURING THE YEAR WILL COMPETE IN THE 9-11 YEAR AGE GROUP AND DISTANCE:

* 5-8 YEARS: 0.5 MILE RUN, 1.6 MILE BIKE, 25 YARD (ONE LENGTH) SWIM. ONE PARENT MAY ESCORT ON COURSE.
* 9-11 YEARS: 1 MILE RUN, 4.4 MILE BIKE, 150 YARD SWIM (3 LAP) SWIM.
* 12-15 YEARS: 2 MILE RUN, 7.2 MILE BIKE, 300 YARD SWIM (6 LAP) SWIM.

  • 9-11 Years
