This vibrant event will take place in the picturesque town of Rockford, Kent, featuring a certified 5K Run/Walk that winds through the historic downtown area and alongside the beautiful Rogue River. Participants of all ages are invited to join in the festivities, including a Kids K Fun Run, making it the perfect family outing.
As you lace up your running shoes, you'll be contributing to a meaningful cause, as all race proceeds support Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD) in honor of Mitchell Peterson and other local children affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Each registered 5K runner will receive a special race tee, bib, finisher medal, and refreshments, while Kids K participants will enjoy their own race tee, bib, and treats. Participants who choose the Virtual 5K option will also receive a race packet by mail. Join us for a day filled with live music, festive activities, and the camaraderie of fellow runners, all while making a difference in the lives of those fighting Duchenne. Welcome to the 27th annual 5K Race and Kids K Fun Run thru downtown Rockford.
MRTR is a USAT & F certified 5K Run/Walk for multiple ages. The course runs through historic downtown Rockford and along the majestic Rogue River. Accurate splits at each mile and finish times.
Mitchell's Run Thru Rockford (MRTR) was organized to benefit Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD). Mitchell Peterson, and many other boys and some girls from West Michigan have been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. All race proceeds will be donated to PPMD in Mitchell's honor, to END DUCHENNE. This is a fun, family event, with live music and a festive atmosphere. The course runs through scenic Rockford and along The White Pine Trail!
Each registered 5K participant will receive a Mitchell's Run race tee, race bib, a finisher medal and race refreshments.
