Join us for the inaugural My Day 5K and 1 Mile Trot on Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at the picturesque Maury County Park in Columbia, Tennessee! This exciting event is dedicated to supporting special needs youth and young adults, continuing the legacy of the beloved My Day at the Fair. In 2024, over 1,250 participants and caregivers came together to celebrate inclusivity and friendship, and we are thrilled to expand this mission with the addition of a 5K race and a fun 1 Mile Trot.
Get ready to lace up your running shoes and make a difference! The 5K race kicks off at 8:00 a.m., followed by the 1 Mile Trot at 9:00 a.m. Participants of all ages are welcome, with awards for the top finishers in various categories, including overall winners and age divisions. Plus, all registered participants who sign up by August 21 will receive a commemorative race t-shirt! Join us in honoring the spirit of William Will Spiess, who believed that everyone deserves a friend. Together, we can make a positive impact in the Maury County community. We can't wait to see you there!

Organiser's Description
The Maury County Fair and the Knights of Columbus have been supporting Special needs youth and young adults for over 15 years with My Day at the Fair. The 2024 My Day Event hosted over 1,250 special needs youth and young adults along with their caregivers.
2025 marks the start of a new event, My Day 5K and 1 Mile Trot, which expands the mission of My Day and honors William Will Spiess who never met a stranger and believed everyone deserved a friend.
Local Maury County non-profit organizations who will benefit from Funds raised at this event include: Kings Daughters School, Maury County Special Olympics, and Best Buddies of Tennessee.
We care deeply about every member of our Maury County Community and hope you will support us in this new venture. We can't wait to see you there!
PACKET PICK-UP
FRIDAY, AUGUST 29TH PACKET PICK-UP AND REGISTRATION
2 to 8 p.m. at St Catherine of Siena Church (3019 Cayce Lane, Columbia, TN 38401)
Packet pick-up will take place on Friday afternoon and will operate as a convenient drive-through in the parking lot of St. Catherine of Siena Church.
PACKET PICK-UP TIPS:
You may pick up packets for your friends or family members who have already registered; however, you will need to know their date of birth.
Plan to register and pick up your packet before race day if possible. However, you may still register for the race at any packet pick-up time.
If you have questions during packet pick-up or on the day of the race, please find one of the My Day 5K & 1-Mile Trot Volunteers.

9:00 a.m. (or as soon as 5K is finished) - 1-Mile Trot begins

Results are live, check your time online by scanning the QR code to see if you won an award. If you did win, please see our wonderful volunteers by the Log Cabin to get your award.

Masters (ages 40+): Top Male and Female Participants
Super Grandmasters (ages 70+): Top Male and Female Participants
5K AGE DIVISIONS
The top three male and female participants in each of the following age groups will receive a medal. Live results and awards.
The age groups include: 9 and under, 1014, 1519, 2024, 2529, 3034, 3539, 4044, 4549, 5054, 5559, 6064, 6569, 70-79, and 80+.
GIVE AWAY
All 5K and 1 mile Trot participants who register by 21 August, 2025 will receive a race t-shirt.
