Join us for a fantastic Thanksgiving tradition at the New Beginnings Turkey Trot 5K on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Sheridan, Montcalm! Kick off your holiday festivities by burning off those delicious Thanksgiving Day calories while supporting a great cause—100% of the proceeds benefit the New Beginnings Resale Shoppe. The 5K race starts promptly at 8:30 AM, followed closely by our 5K walkers, ensuring plenty of fun for participants of all ages.
The course takes you from the Sheridan Community Center eastward to Beardsley Road, featuring a measured turnaround to complete the 5K distance before returning to the Community Center. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in age groups both 12 and under and over 12, with the first to cross the finish line earning the coveted title of Top Turkey! With an entry fee of just $5 for ages 1-12 and $20 for participants aged 13 and older, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Don’t wait—register early, as fees increase on race day!
