Get ready for a festive celebration at the 11th Annual New Canaan Santa Run on Saturday, December 21, 2024, in the picturesque Waveny Park, located in New Canaan, Western Connecticut. This family-friendly event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities to join in the fun, whether you choose to run or walk the scenic 5K course or the delightful 1-mile course. The race kicks off amidst the beautiful backdrop of Waveny Park, starting and finishing at the historic 'Castle'.
Not only will you enjoy a spirited day of running, but you can also meet Santa himself during the Santa Dash for kids aged 8 and under, capturing magical family photos before and after the race. The first 200 participants to register will receive a long sleeve cotton shirt, so don’t miss out! Awards will be given to the overall male and female 5K champions, along with top finishers in various age groups. Plus, your participation helps support a noble cause, as all proceeds will go towards packing 100,000 meals for those in need through the Feed My Starving Children organization. Join us for a day filled with holiday cheer, community spirit, and the joy of giving back!

The Santa 1 Mile Walk

The 1 Mile "Walkers" will start just behind the 5k runners. The 1 mile loop will be clearly marked to differentiate the it from the 5k course. There will be signs and volunteers to help. One mile participants are NOT timed and NOT eligible for awards. -
Santa Dash - Kids 8 Under

Santa Dashers will run along with Santa on the inner driveway loop of the Waveny Mansion. EIGHT years old and younger ONLY. Parents/guardians can accompany the little tykes to help avoid drama.
