DATE, TIME, AND PLACE: FRIDAY January 1, 2026; Kids Run starting at 8:30 AM and 5k Starting at 9:00 am. This year we are excited to announce that we are heading back to Neyland Drive and Calhoun's on the River!

KIDS RUN: Cost is $10. Kids will run a 1 mile course out and back
5K AGE BASED PRICING! Cost for ages 4-12 through December 28 is $10 and cost for ages _13-17_ is $15._ Age based pricing is only available through early online registration. Deadline to register using this pricing structure is December 28. It is not available for late registration at either packet pickup or on race day_.

VOLUNTEERS: It will take many volunteers to make this race a success! Opportunities are available before, during, and after the race. Volunteers will receive a $5 coupon code that can be used toward race registration (excluding the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon and Whitestone) and non-running volunteers that work entire race will receive a $10 code. AWARDS: Awards to the top male and female as well as the oldest and youngest male and female. Awards will be distributed to the top 100 men and women when crossing the finish line. _No age group awards at this event._
GRAND PRIX POINTS TEAM COMPETITION: The New Year's Day 5k is on the 2026 Team Competition schedule. 2026 Grand Prix Points awarded winners in various categories and age groups. Points accumulate throughout the year. KTC recognizes the top 10 men and women in the Grand Prix series at the New Years Day 5K on January 1, 2027. Remember, to be eligible for Grand Prix Points, participants must be a member of KTC and must volunteer for at least 3 KTC races throughout the year.
2025 GRAND PRIX WINNERS: The 2025 Grand Prix Series winners will be announced prior to this event and awards maybe picked up on race morning.
POST RACE REFRESHMENTS: light snacks will be provided.
RACE ETIQUETTE: Due to insurance regulations, roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course. The 5K course closes in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
