Organiser's Description
Newport Spirit Run is an environmentally sustainable event dedicated to celebrating and protecting the Bay. The Bay is one of the few remaining, undeveloped wetlands on the California coast. It is recognized as a globally significant hotspot of biodiversity with precious open water, mudflat, saltmarsh, freshwater marsh, riparian, and upland habitat.
Newport Spirit Run benefits the Newport Bay Conservancy that protects and preserves the Bay as well as youth education, youth sports programs, and other youth causes.
