Organiser's Description
Ohio University Physician Assistant Program Class of 2026 would like to invite you as a participant to our Annual 5k. This year's proceeds will be going to benefit Star House, an incredible organization that gives so much to our community here in Central Ohio. Open 24 hours a day 365 days a year, Star house is a drop-in center for homeless youth providing them food, shelter and access to daily needs as well as helping to facilitate access to both medical and mental health resources. Since its founding in 2006, Star House has provided these services as well as resources for young adults exiting homelessness to find affordable and accessible housing. Following a seven step model called the Science of Hope, they develop trusting and healing relationships with the youth they work with to allow them to thrive with success with support from the community. The values Star House holds and instills in the lives they touch are the same values our program hopes to emulate in our care we deliver as providers. We are so inspired by the work of Star House and are so excited to be sponsoring them again with our run/walk race this year!
Prize will be awarded for the first place runner. Each registration comes with entry to the raffle to take place at the conclusion of the race. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase on race day!
