Join cycling enthusiasts for the 45th Old Kentucky Home Bicycle Tour (OKHT) on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Crestwood, Oldham County! This exciting event, hosted by the Louisville Bicycle Club, invites riders of all levels to experience the breathtaking landscapes of Kentucky during the summer. Choose from three scenic routes: a challenging 62.1-mile (100K) ride, a moderate 40-mile trek, or a leisurely 20-mile journey, all winding through the picturesque rolling hills and charming horse farms of Oldham County.
The Tour kicks off at the main entrance of the 3rd Turn Oldham Gardens, where riders will also enjoy a festive after party and lunch. Along the route, participants will find three rest stops, including the beloved "World Famous" Homemade Cookie stop at Cabin Creek Farm, providing a sweet treat to refuel. Riders on the longer routes will also get to enjoy the beautiful Windy Meadows Farm and the Chestnut Hall Racehorse Sanctuary. Plus, every participant will receive a finisher's medal to commemorate their ride! Come out for a day of cycling, camaraderie, and celebration of the beautiful backroads that make up our Old Kentucky Home!

Join the Louisville Bicycle Club for the 45th Old Kentucky Home Bicycle Tour on Saturday, August 8, 2026 - Powered by Middle of Town Cycling.
Experience a Kentucky Summer and choose the best route for you and your group. This ride will feature three distance options: a 62.1 mile (100 K), 40 mile, or 20-mile ride through scenic rolling hills of Oldham County. Enjoy the beautiful landscape of Oldham County as you ride through some challenging hills and horse farms along the way.
The start and finish line will be located at the main entrance of 3rd Turn Oldham Gardens. The ride's after party and lunch will also take place at 3rd Turn Oldham Gardens. [https://oldhamgardens.3rdturnbrewing.com/]
The Tour will have a total of 3 rest stops. All three distances will have a stop at the "World Famous" Homemade Cookie stop featuring dozens of baked goods from our dedicated Louisville Bicycle Club community at Cabin Creek Farm. Both the 40 and 62.1 mile rides stop at the beautiful Windy Meadows Farm. The 62.1 mile ride stops at Chestnut Hall Racehorse Sanctuary at the top of Mayo Lane.

Louisville Bicycle Club will kick off the weekend with an open ride and packet pick up on Friday Afternoon.
The Old Kentucky Home Bicycle Tour was created in 1974 by Stewart Prather and other members of the Louisville Bicycle Club. Originally, the route went to Bardstown, Kentucky, and now the route tours beautiful Oldham County. In honor of Stewart, we have kept the name OKHT. Regardless of where the event starts and finishes, the OKHT still honors the original goal of touring the backroads of our Old Kentucky Home.
This event will take place rain or shine.
