This uplifting event will take place at Salisbury Community Park, located at 935 Hurley School Road, starting at 9:00 a.m. Participants can register on race day from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Whether you choose to walk, run, or stroll, your participation will directly benefit the Family Crisis Council of Rowan, which provides essential resources to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
This year, the event highlights the importance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, bringing attention to the harsh realities faced by many in our community. The 5K race offers awards for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as age group awards, with participation medals for all children aged 12 and under in the Fun Run. Register early to secure your T-shirt and enjoy a discounted entry fee of $25—prices increase to $30 on race day. Join us to stand with survivors and make a difference in Rowan County!

RACE PROCEEDS will go to support Family Crisis Council of Rowan, Inc. April is Sexual Assault Awareness month. One in 5 women and One in 13 men experience sexual violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. The Family Crisis Council of Rowan exists to foster a community that is free of such interpersonal violence. Through direct service and education, our goal is not only to minimize, but to prevent the impact of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in and around Rowan County.

Since 1978, Family Crisis Council of Rowan has provided services such as emergency shelter, hospital accompaniment, court advocacy, case management and counseling to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, incest, and human trafficking in Rowan County.
