Join us for the exciting ORRC Ralph's Run on Saturday, January 2, 2027, in the picturesque town of Forest Grove, Washington! This beloved event, formerly known as the ORRC Y2K Run, pays tribute to longtime ORRC member Ralph Brown and continues its tradition of offering a unique distance each year. In 2027, participants will tackle the challenging 20.27K route, a nod to the year itself, allowing runners to achieve a new personal record every time they participate!
In addition to the main event, there are plenty of options for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Choose from a 10K run/walk, a 5K run/walk, or let the little ones join in on the fun with a kid's run. All events kick off at 9 AM, with the course remaining open until noon. For those tackling the 20.27K, an early start at 8:30 AM is available to ensure everyone finishes comfortably. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to kick off the new year with fitness, fun, and community spirit!

Organiser's Description
Formerly the ORRC Y2K Run, now Ralph's Run in honor of longtime ORRC member Ralph Brown, this event moves back to its original premise of a changing distance every year. Starting out in 1986 as the _8.6 in '86_, it will now be 20.27K in 2027. You get a new PR every year! It also features a 10K run/walk, a 5K run/walk, and a kid's run. All events start at 9am and the course closes at noon. (There is an 8:30 start intended ONLY for 20.27K participants who cant make the three-hour cut-off.)

What a great way to start the new racing year. My first time at this event, and it was wonderful. The race shirt swag was one of the nicest shirts I've ever received. I look forward to this being my first race of the year for many years to come. Well done!
