Get ready for an exhilarating evening of fitness and fun at the ORRRC Englewood 5K on Wednesday, July 16, 2025! This exciting race takes place at the scenic Englewood Metropark West Park in Englewood, Montgomery, starting at 7:00 p.m. Participants will enjoy a thrilling out-and-back course along the bike path, featuring a fast downhill start followed by a rewarding challenge on the return.
Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, the Englewood 5K welcomes everyone. Registration is open, with current ORRRC members racing for free! Non-members can join in for just $10, while kids aged 14 and under can participate at no cost. Awards will be presented for top finishers in various categories, and every participant will receive a ribbon, along with finisher medals for the top three in each age group. This is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the community, enjoy the beautiful park, and challenge yourself in a supportive atmosphere. Don't miss out on this fantastic event!

WHEN: Wednesday, July 16. The race starts at 7:00 p.m.
WHERE: Englewood Metropark West Park 100 E. National Rd., Englewood, OH 45322
PARKING:
From either east or west, take I-70 to the State Route 48 exit and head north on Route 48 into Englewood. DO NOT CROSS DAM. Race is on the west side of the park! Use entrance ER-5 at the intersection of National Road (US 40) and Main Street (US 48) in downtown Englewood. Follow the park road to the parking lot. We will be using Lawmill Shelter.
NOTE: W. National Road/U.S. 40 will likely be impassable due to pre-planned road construction. The following link provides instructions for a detour around W. National Road/U.S. 40 construction: https://www.metroparks.org/alerts/us-route-40-construction/
Volunteers Please note it will be necessary to take River Rd. to E. Martindale Rd. to Frederick Pike to W. National Rd. to Pattys Rd. to get to the race turn-around and aid/water station.
COURSE: Out and back on the bike path. First .5 mile is mostly a fast downhill meaning the last .5 mile is slightly uphill, just kidding, its a real climb. Click for map [https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/5230544821]
PRE-REGISTRATION: through RunSignup. Come to the green table at registration to receive your chip on race day.
Minors may be pre-registered on RunSignup by a parent or guardian. Minors must have the liability waiver (Online through RunSignup or the registration sheet at the event) signed by a parent or guardian.
FEES:
All Current ORRRC Members Run for Free (Fee waived automatically when your RSU membership profile is used, or bring your card/proof of membership to the event)
Non-Members:
$10 for ages 15 and up
Free for ages 14 and under
Members, if you don't register through RunSignup, you absolutely MUST show proof of membership on race day to be eligible for the member fees! No exceptions!

Race Day Registration: available online until approximately 15 minutes before race start time; hard copy registration sheets also available if needed. We recommend you arrive at least one hour before the race to park, register, and warm-up prior to the race start.
AWARDS: First Overall Male/Female, First Male/Female Masters (over 40), First Grand Master Male/Female (over 50), First Male/Female Senior (over 60) Recipients of overall awards are not eligible for age group awards. Ribbons for ages 0 9 for all participants. Finisher medals for top 3 in Age group categories: 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & up.
