Get ready for an exhilarating evening at the ORRRC Englewood 5K on Wednesday, July 16, 2025! This vibrant race kicks off at 7:00 p.m. in the beautiful Englewood Metropark West Park, located at 100 E. National Rd., Englewood, OH 45322. Runners of all ages are invited to participate in this exciting out-and-back course, which features a fast downhill start before challenging participants with a slight uphill climb in the final stretch—perfect for testing your limits!
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting your journey, the Englewood 5K offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the scenic bike path and connect with the local running community. Pre-registration is available through RunSignup, and participants can look forward to awards for the top finishers in various categories, including overall winners and age groups. Organiser's Description
WHEN: Wednesday, July 16. The race starts at 7:00 p.m.
WHERE: Englewood Metropark West Park 100 E. National Rd., Englewood, OH 45322
PARKING:
From either east or west, take I-70 to the State Route 48 exit and head north on Route 48 into Englewood. DO NOT CROSS DAM. Race is on the west side of the park! Use entrance ER-5 at the intersection of National Road (US 40) and Main Street (US 48) in downtown Englewood. Follow the park road to the parking lot. We will be using Lawmill Shelter.
NOTE: W. National Road/U.S. 40 will likely be impassable due to pre-planned road construction. The following link provides instructions for a detour around W. National Road/U.S. 40 construction: https://www.metroparks.org/alerts/us-route-40-construction/
Volunteers Please note it will be necessary to take River Rd. to E. Martindale Rd. to Frederick Pike to W. National Rd. to Pattys Rd. to get to the race turn-around and aid/water station.
COURSE: Out and back on the bike path. First .5 mile is mostly a fast downhill meaning the last .5 mile is slightly uphill, just kidding, its a real climb. Click for map [https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/5230544821]
PRE-REGISTRATION: through RunSignup. Come to the green table at registration to receive your chip on race day.
Minors may be pre-registered on RunSignup by a parent or guardian. Minors must have the liability waiver (Online through RunSignup or the registration sheet at the event) signed by a parent or guardian.

All Current Members Run for Free (Fee waived automatically when your RSU membership profile is used)
Non-Members:
$10 for ages 15 and up
Free for ages 14 and under

Race Day Registration: We recommend you arrive at least one hour before the race to park, register, and warm-up prior to the race start. Members, you absolutely MUST show proof of membership to be eligible for the member fees! No exceptions!
AWARDS: First Overall Male/Female, First Male/Female Masters (over 40), First Grand Master Male/Female (over 50), First Male/Female Senior (over 60) Recipients of overall awards are not eligible for age group awards. Ribbons for ages 0 9 for all participants. Finisher medals for top 3 in Age group categories: 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & up.
