Get ready for an exciting day of running at the ORRRC Lou Cox at DeWeese Park 5k on Thursday, September 3, 2026! This vibrant event takes place in the beautiful DeWeese Park, located at 2600 DeWeese Parkway, Dayton, OH 45414, starting at 6:30 p.m. Runners of all ages are invited to participate in this flat and scenic 5k (3.1 miles) course that winds through three stunning Dayton parks: DeWeese Park, Triangle Park, and Island MetroPark, all while enjoying views along the banks of the Stillwater and Great Miami Rivers.
Pre-registration is available through RunSignup, and you can even register on race day, so be sure to arrive early to secure your spot! Current ORRRC members can run for free, while non-members can participate for just $10 for ages 15 and up, with free entry for ages 14 and under. Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers, along with age group awards for various categories. RACE START TIME: 6:30 p.m.
WHERE: DeWeese Park, 2600 DeWeese Parkway, Dayton, OH 45414.
PARKING: Park in the large gravel parking lot at the entrance of Triangle Park at the corner of Ridge Ave. and DeWeese Parkway.
COURSE: This is a beautiful flat 5k (3.1 mile) course on paved recreation paths that loops through 3 scenic Dayton parks (DeWeese Park, Triangle Park, and Island MetroPark) along the banks of the Stillwater and Great Miami Rivers.
PRE-REGISTRATION: through RunSignup. Come to the green table at registration to receive your chip on race day.
Minors may be pre-registered on RunSignup by a parent or guardian. Minors must have the liability waiver (Online through RunSignup or the registration sheet at the event) signed by a parent or guardian.
FEES:
All Current ORRRC Members Run for Free (Fee waived automatically when your RSU membership profile is used, or bring your card/proof of membership to the event)
Non-Members:
$10 for ages 15 and up
Free for ages 14 and under
Members, if you don't register through RunSignup, you absolutely MUST show proof of membership on race day to be eligible for the member fees! No exceptions!
