Get ready to lace up your running shoes and join in the celebration at the 43rd Owego Strawberry Festival's Rock & Run 5K on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in beautiful Owego, Tioga! This exciting event kicks off at the scenic Hickories Park, where participants can enjoy a fun-filled evening starting with bib pick-up at 4:30 PM, followed by a delightful Kid's Fun Run at 5:15 PM for children aged 12 and under. The main 5K race begins at 6:00 PM, and every participant will receive a unique 2025 Strawberry Festival medal to commemorate their achievement!
But the festivities don’t end with the race! From 5:00 PM onwards, visitors can indulge in live music, delicious food, and sweet treats from local vendors, including Ice Cream Works and Pitstop Popcorn. The fun continues throughout the festival weekend with more activities, including a vibrant parade on Saturday, June 21. CELEBRATE THE 43RD OWEGO STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL WITH A 5K RUN/WALK!
THE STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL ROCK AND RUN 5K is Thursday night, June 19, 2025 at the Hickories Park in Owego.
4:30 - BIB PICK UP OPENS, KID'S RUN REGISTRATION-LOCATION AT THE BANDSTAND AREA.
5:15 - KID'S FUN RUN - ALL KID, 12 AND UNDER, MUST REGISTER WITH A PARENT.
6:00 - 5K RACE STARTS. COOL 2025 STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL RACE MEDAL FOR EVERY 5K PARTICIPANT.
ALL 5K PARTICIPANTS THAT SIGN UP WILL RECEIVE A COOL 2025 STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL RUN MEDAL!
KID'S FUN RUN RACE STARTS AT 5:15 - Ages 12 and under. Runners must register and have a parent sign for them to enter the race, so come early. Fun Run racers will receive a numbered bib and a medal!
Day of the race: Coming into the Hickories Park, please remember to DRIVE SLOWLY!
There will be a lot of people parking and gathering around the band stand area. Kids may be running their Fun Run. There will be orange cones and volunteers to highlight the race, and help with safety. Please DRIVE SLOWLY entering the park.
TEE SHIRTS are available at a discount for runners/walkers that register on Run Sign Up!
Tee shirts will also be available for sale at the 5K race at event pricing.
MUSIC AND FESTIVITIES START AT 5:00.
Following the 5K Race, join us for more free music and fun at the Hickories bandstand. Live music, vendors and ice cream and food trucks until 9:00!
ICE CREAM WORKS will be bringing their ice cream truck! Yum!
