The event begins at 4:30 PM with bib pick-up and registration for the Kid's Fun Run, which starts at 5:15 PM for children aged 12 and under. The main 5K race will launch at 6:00 PM, and every participant will receive a stylish 2025 Strawberry Festival race medal to commemorate their achievement!
But the fun doesn't stop at the finish line! Enjoy live music, delicious food from local vendors, and mouthwatering treats from food trucks—including the famous Ice Cream Works—until 9:00 PM. With festivities continuing throughout the weekend, including a parade and fireworks, the Owego Strawberry Festival is the perfect way to celebrate summer with family and friends. CELEBRATE THE 43RD OWEGO STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL WITH A 5K RUN/WALK!
THE STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL ROCK AND RUN 5K is Thursday night, June 19, 2025 at the Hickories Park in Owego.
4:30 - BIB PICK UP OPENS, KID'S RUN REGISTRATION-LOCATION AT THE BANDSTAND AREA.
5:15 - KID'S FUN RUN - ALL KID, 12 AND UNDER, MUST REGISTER WITH A PARENT.
6:00 - 5K RACE STARTS. COOL 2025 STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL RACE MEDAL FOR EVERY 5K PARTICIPANT.
ALL 5K PARTICIPANTS THAT SIGN UP WILL RECEIVE A COOL 2025 STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL RUN MEDAL!
KID'S FUN RUN RACE STARTS AT 5:15 - Ages 12 and under. Runners must register and have a parent sign for them to enter the race, so come early. Fun Run racers will receive a numbered bib and a medal!
Day of the race: Coming into the Hickories Park, please remember to DRIVE SLOWLY!
There will be a lot of people parking and gathering around the band stand area. Kids may be running their Fun Run. There will be orange cones and volunteers to highlight the race, and help with safety. Please DRIVE SLOWLY entering the park.
TEE SHIRTS are available at a discount for runners/walkers that register on Run Sign Up!
Tee shirts will also be available for sale at the 5K race at event pricing.
MUSIC AND FESTIVITIES START AT 5:00.
Following the 5K Race, join us for more free music and fun at the Hickories bandstand. Live music, vendors and ice cream and food trucks until 9:00!
ICE CREAM WORKS will be bringing their ice cream truck! Yum!
