Come out to Switchyard Park to support breast cancer awareness and support services for breast cancer patients and survivors. During the entire month of October, we will Paint the Town Pink! Local businesses can sign up to get their windows painted pink with ribbons and breast cancer awareness messages. Cancer Support Community is partnering with the City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation department, IU Health, and IU School of Medicine to provide resources and educational material to local businesses.
Awareness Saves LivesMelody Martin started the Breast Cancer Awareness walk over 25 years ago, because she believed had she gotten her diagnosis sooner, her outcome may have been different. We remember and honor Melody's mission in lifeto empower women to identify breast cancer sooner, to have the best chance of survival.

Breast Cancer Survivor Ceremony

Breast Cancer Survivors are invited to share their name and length of survivorship. Ceremony will begin after opening remarks at approximately 2:30 pm. Survivors should meet near the stage 5 minutes before the start of the program. Survivors will receive a complimentary token gift provided by Cancer Support Community. -
