This uplifting event kicks off with a heartfelt Presentation of Colors by the Allen High School MCJROTC and a stirring Pledge of Allegiance led by Congressman Keith Self. The activities begin bright and early with a warm-up session at 7:30 AM, followed by the 1-Mile Fun Run at 8:00 AM and the exhilarating 5K Run at 8:30 AM, where wheeled participants will receive a special 5-minute head start.
After the races, stick around for a fantastic community celebration filled with awards, sponsor booths, delicious food, lively music, and exciting vendor prize giveaways. Every step you take honors those who have served and celebrates the freedom they defended. Plus, your participation helps fund vital veteran assistance programs, student scholarships, and outreach efforts aligned with the mission of serving veterans and their families. Organiser's Description
The Patriots Run 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run takes place Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Red Tail Pavilion, Oak Point Park in Planohome of the Plano Flags of Honor.
The morning begins with a Presentation of Colors by Allen High School MCJROTC and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Congressman Keith Self, followed by a 7:30 AM warm-up, the 1-Mile Fun Run (8:00 AM), and the 5K Run (8:30 AM). Wheeled participants will have a 5 minute head start.
After the race, enjoy a community celebration featuring awards, sponsor booths, food, music, and vendor prize giveaways immediately following the ceremony.
