Bernards Parents for Exceptional Children (PEC), a vital community organization that fosters connections, raises awareness and provides tangible support to schools and students, is reviving our annual _PEC RUN WITH ME 5K_ race and _PEC FAMILY WALK_ on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Bernards Twp Municipal Complex in Basking Ridge, NJ. This years _RUN WITH ME 5K_ race proceeds will financially SUPPORT RENOVATING OUR HOUSES NEWLY PURCHASED 5TH RESIDENCE IN BERNARDS TWP. Our House, Inc. is a local nonprofit with a similar mission to help individuals with disabilities reach their full potential. While Bernards Parents for Exceptional Children supports special needs students and their families throughout their schooling years, Our House assists post-graduate individuals, and picks up where PEC leaves off. Our House, Inc. was created to provide inclusive and stimulating environments for adults with disabilities through community residences, employment services, innovative day programs, social opportunities and various support services. Over the past 40 years, Our House's residential services have expanded to include 16 group homes, three sets of supervised apartments, and five supported living apartments. Additionally, Our House operates four Day Program sites and collaborates with various supported employment partners. They currently support approximately 300 individuals across Essex, Morris, Middlesex, Somerset, and Union counties, with five of the houses located in the Bernards Township area. AWARD CATEGORIES: Medals for all of the following: 1st place Male and Female in the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 50-69, 70 -79, 80 and up

Please park at Ridge High School (268 S Finley Ave, Bernards Twp) and walk across Aster Field to the Bernards Twp Municipal Complex at 1 Collyer Lane to the check in tent.
