Join us for the inaugural Philander Smith University Homecoming 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in beautiful Little Rock, Pulaski! This vibrant event kicks off at 8:00 a.m. on the Philander Smith University campus and promises a day filled with wellness, unity, and community spirit. Participants will enjoy a scenic course that highlights significant African American historical sites, including Arkansas Baptist College and Little Rock Central High School.

Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to enjoy a leisurely walk with friends and family, this event is for everyone. By taking part, you'll be supporting the university's mission to provide scholarships for deserving students, helping them continue their educational journeys. All participants will receive a race bib, a stylish race t-shirt, and a finisher medal with a ribbon. Plus, those who prefer to participate virtually can still join the fun and receive their race t-shirt! Don’t miss this chance to celebrate, give back, and make lasting memories in the heart of Little Rock.

Organiser's Description

The Philander Smith University Homecoming Inaugural 5K Run/Walk is an opportunity for participants to support the mission of the institution by bringing together students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members for a day of wellness, unity, and purpose. The course is designed to pass many of the citys African American historical sites, including Arkansas Baptist College, Little Rock Central High School and and Dunbar Heritage Association Community. This exciting event will take place on Saturday, November 7th, beginning at 8:00 a.m. on the campus of Philander Smith University in Little Rock. All proceeds will go toward funding student scholarships and helping deserving students continue their educational journeys.

Day-of Participants and Virtual Participants will receive (1) Race Bib, (2) Race T-Shirt, (3) Finisher Medal w/Ribbon

Sleep-In Participants will receive a Race T-Shirt
