Participants can choose between a thrilling 10-hour race or the full 12-hour challenge, racing through the night with friends in teams of 1 to 4. The course features an exciting mix of bushwhacking, single-track mountain biking, and scenic paddling, all under the enchanting glow of moonlight. Competitors will aim to collect punches from unmanned checkpoints scattered throughout the course, with the team that gathers the most points in the least amount of time declared the winner. As the night unfolds, enjoy delicious finish line food and drinks while taking in the vibrant fall colors of the mountains. Don't forget to bring your lights for an unforgettable night of racing fun!

RACING IN THE DARK?
THE OVERNIGHT EVENT FOR 2025 IS AT LAKE JAMES STATE PARK LOCATED AT THE EDGE OF THE LINVILLE GORGE AREA OF NORTH CAROLINA. DO THIS AS A SEPARATE OVERNIGHT EVENT OR JOIN THE FUN ON SATURDAY MORNING AND COMPLETE THE 10 HOUR EVENT BEFORE HEADING OUT INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT.
THIS WILL BE THE LAST RACE IN THE SERIES.
THIS WILL BE OUR 6TH YEAR AT THE STATE PARK, AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO OFFERING ANOTHER GREAT TIME IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS. AS WITH ALL OUR RACES, WE LIKE TO OFFER RACERS A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING. THIS RACE WILL BE NO DIFFERENT: A BUSHWHACKING O-COURSE, SINGLE TRACK AND SOME ROAD MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDING, AND SOME SCENIC PADDLING. ALL WILL TAKE PLACE AT NIGHT. KEEP GOING TILL THE SUN COMES UP AND ENJOY THE FINISH LINE FOOD AND DRINKS, AWARDS AND THE WONDERFUL FALL COLORS IN THE MOUNTAINS.
TEAMS OF 1-4 WILL TRAVEL TOGETHER ALONG THE COURSE. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE RACE IS TO GATHER A PUNCH FROM AS MANY CHECK POINTS (UNMANNED FLAGS IN THE WOODS) WITHIN THE ALLOTTED TIME. THE TEAM WITH THE MOST POINTS IN THE LEAST AMOUNT OF TIME WINS.
