After crossing the finish line, celebrate your achievement at the World Famous Kopper Kettle Inn Restaurant, which will be serving up delicious beer, wings, cookies, and fruit in their beautiful outdoor garden dining area. Don't miss out on the Derby Days parade at 11:00 AM, making it a perfect day to relax and soak in the local festivities! With cash awards for overall winners and trophies for participants aged 19 and under, this event not only honors the legacy of beloved coach Paul Otis Goble but also supports the Morristown Girls & Boys Cross Country and Track Teams as well as the Paul O. Organiser's Description
Come join us for the nicest day in small town Indiana! Flat out and back course. The entire run/walk is on pavement and travels out to the Morristown Cemetery, does a small loop in the cemetery and comes back in to town. Course is closed to traffic during the event and provides 3 water stops. The World Famous Kopper Kettle Inn Restaurant sponsors the P.O.G. run and provides beer, wings, cookies and fruit in their beautiful outdoor garden dining area after the race! Kick back and relax! 11:00 is the Derby Days parade if you have time to stick around! Cash awards for 3 overall and 1st - 3rd age groups! Trophies for 19 & Under. Paul Otis Goble (P.O.G.) was a beloved long time track coach for Morristown High School. Proceeds from this event benefit the Morristown Girls & Boys Cross Country and Track Teams and the Paul O. Goble Memorial Scholarship.
