The festivities kick off on Friday, October 18, with registration and packet pick-up at Shaun Diamond Plaza from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Race day begins early on Saturday, starting with registration at 6:30 AM, followed by a series of fun events including a Toddler Trot at 7:30 AM, a warm-up session at 7:45 AM, and the eagerly awaited 5K and 10K races at 8:00 AM. Join us to celebrate health, camaraderie, and the vibrant community spirit of Pomona as we honor this fantastic milestone together!

With an average of 700 running participants and over 300 spectators in Downtown Pomona to cheer on all the runners, this event is a premier community event in the City of Pomona with a broad reach.
OUR BACKGROUND
The Pomona 5K was born in 2016, with the vision of creating a community-driven running event in the heart of Downtown Pomona. The Pomona 5K is a partnership between Pomona Valley Runners, a local running group, and various community organizations including Gods Pantry, a community-based nonprofit organization. This event has been coordinated by a core group of dedicated community leaders from Pomona who volunteer their time to put on this event from the ground up.
