Join us for the Poppy Run on Saturday, May 24th, 2025, at the Fulton County Fairgrounds in Wauseon, Ohio! This uplifting 5K race is dedicated to honoring our nation's fallen heroes and supports vital veterans organizations, including Flag City Honor Flight, Fisher House Foundation, and the DAV Disabled American Veterans. The event begins with a heartfelt Memorial Day ceremony, creating a respectful atmosphere as participants prepare to run or walk the 5K course.
In addition to the main event, there will also be a spirited kids' 1/2 mile race, ensuring that the whole family can partake in this meaningful day. Participants will receive finisher medals and have the chance to win age group awards, with categories ranging from 10 & Under to 85 & older. Remember, awards must be collected on-site, so be sure to stick around for the ceremony. Mark your calendars and get ready to celebrate freedom and community spirit at the Poppy Run!

A 5K RACE FOR VETERANS ORGANIZATIONS IN MEMORY OF THOSE WHO FOUGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM.
Poppy Run 5k: Honoring Our Nation's Fallen Heroes. Founded by Grady Langenderfer as a tribute to his grandfather's friends who never made it home from Vietnam. This year's proceeds support Flag City Honor Flight, Fisher House Foundation, and the DAV Disabled disabled American Veterans. Please join us on May 24th, 2025, for a 5k run/walk at the Fulton County Fairgrounds in Wauseon, Ohio. "The event will begin with a pre-race Memorial Day ceremony", followed by the 5k run/walk, and a kids' 1/2 mile race to follow. Finisher medals and age group awards will be given, but please note that awards will not be shipped and participants must be present for the awards ceremony.
Overall Male/Female and Overall Masters (40+) receive awards!
