Get ready to burn off those Thanksgiving calories at the Poultry in Motion Waco Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 26, 2026! Set in the scenic downtown Waco, McLennan, this festive event features a delightful 1K Fun Run/Walk and a challenging 5K timed run/walk on a USATF certified course. The fun kicks off early in the morning, with packet pick-up starting at 6:30 AM, followed by the 1K at 8:00 AM and the 5K at 8:30 AM.
This year, participants can also take part in a pie-eating contest and compete for exciting awards, including prizes for the best Thanksgiving-themed costumes! With all proceeds benefiting the local Community Cancer Association, this event embodies the spirit of giving thanks and community spirit. So gather your family, lace up your running shoes, and join the fun on Thanksgiving morning at Indian Spring Park, Waco Suspension Bridge. Don’t forget to register early to secure your shirt and size—let’s make this Turkey Trot a memorable start to the holiday season! Gobble on!

The 5K is a professionally timed event with awards for overall male and female, masters male and female, as well as age group awards! Even better, there is an award for the best Thanksgiving related costume! So dress your best and strut your Poultry In Motion Stuff!
Shirts are ordered on November 15th; you must be registered by then to be guaranteed your shirt and size. Yes, we order extras, but they will be distributed based on date and time of registration.... this is good news - you don't have to run fast, you just have to register fast!
Race Day Registration will be available but does come with an "inconvenience fee"...save $5 by registering prior to race day and use it for some cranberry sauce!

Not the same finisher medal as our full price racers - think of it as fresh cranberry sauce vs canned, the turkey breast vs a thigh - but a custom one with the Poultry in Motion logo on a nice ribbon! They can trot the 1 mile or the 5K, their choice! -
