DUE TO HAZARDOUS WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED EARLY SATURDAY, SEPT. 14, THE DISCOVERY DASH IS POSTPONED TO SATURDAY, OCT. 19, 2024. YOUR SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY, AND WE BELIEVE THIS WILL PROVIDE A BETTER RACE EXPERIENCE FOR EVERYONE.
Our unusual course, at Discovery Park of America, will now offer a beautiful fall setting for your race through our 50-acre heritage park. In addition to the scenic course with waterfalls, bridges and unique landmarks, the 1800s Settlement will now be transformed into Pumpkin Village [https://discoveryparkofamerica.com/event/pumpkin-village-2024/].
The route meanders through a 50-acre heritage park that features a man-made river flowing through the extensively landscaped property, along with waterfalls, bridges and other water features. No place else can you dash by a 120-year-old church, an 1800s frontier settlement, a reproduction of a town from the early 19th Century and a complete vintage train station.
From dynamic race day check-in and pre-race entertainment to the dramatic inflatable archway finish line, finishers certificates and winners medals, you wont want to miss a moment.
Awards are presented in the 5K and 10K for males and females in the age categories of:

40-49
50-59
60-69
70 and over

Registration for the 5K and 1-mile fun run prior to July 31 is $25 and includes a Discovery Dash T-shirt and two free admission tickets to Discovery Park for the day. Beginning August 1, the registration fee will be increased to $30 dollars, and race T-shirts will be available only while supplies last. Registration for the 10K prior to July 31 is $30 and includes a Discovery Dash T-shirt and two free admission tickets to Discovery Park for the day. Beginning August 1, the registration fee will be increased to $35 dollars, and race T-shirts will be available only while supplies last.
