Join us for the inspiring POW Medal Virtual Race Challenge Coin Challenge, organized by Protector Shield Preventative Services, taking place from February 10, 2025, to February 10, 2026, in West Jordan, Salt Lake. This unique event honors our brave POW/MIA soldiers and commemorates the harrowing Bataan Death March of World War II, where 75,000 troops endured a grueling 65-mile march under unimaginable conditions, resulting in the loss of 17,000 lives.
Participants can choose to run, walk, or engage in alternative activities to complete a total of 65 miles, the same distance as the Bataan Death March. The challenge is designed to be flexible, allowing you to spread out your miles over the event period. Once you achieve this significant milestone, you'll receive a special race medal featuring the POW Challenge Coin at its center. We encourage all participants to share their patriotic spirit by posting race pictures in their most spirited gear on social media, using the hashtag #pspsworkoutforacause. Join us in this meaningful tribute while staying active and promoting awareness for our heroes!

Organiser's Description
In honor of our POW/MIA soldiers. This challenge is in remembrance of the Bataan death march in WWII where 75,000 POW troops were forced to walk 65 miles to a POW camp. 17,000 soldiers died during this march. You do not need to be completed this challenge at one time and can use alternative activities. Once you complete the requirements for the race you will receive a race medal with the POW Challenge Coin in the middle.
