The Powisset (pronounced po-wiss-it) Farm Trail Run is part of the Barn to Run Trail Race Series and the spring edition of this event takes place Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2025 at Powisset Farm in Dover, MA. The event includes running the trails of Powisset Farm and neighboring Noanet Woodlands and offers 4 race distances to choose from 8.3, 5.6, 3.1 and 1.5 miles. A popular event with experienced and novice trail runners alike, the Powisset Farm Trail Run was named one of the Ten Best Trail Races for the Fall [https://rootsrated.com/stories/10-of-the-best-trail-races-for-fall] by RootsRated.

The 8.3 mile race begins and ends at Powisset Farm near the main barn. The first 1.5 miles is on Powisset Farms scenic Meadow Loop trail which is a very flat and grassy trail characterized by views of the farm, rock walls, hundred plus year old fencing and numerous bird boxes. Runners then head onto the trails of Noanet Woodlands which are generally wide with some single track sections. These trails offer rolling hills and trails of hard-packed dirt, some loose gravel and exposed roots. The 8.3 mile race includes a short, but rather steep climb (and descent) of Noanet Peak (387 feet). Runners in the 8.3 mile race complete two loops in Noanet Woodlands (but only go up Noanet Peak once). -
