We're bringing this one back. Hopefully this can continue in the future also. Northern Nevada Adventure Racing is hosting another free training race; the Pre-winter Trek. We'll be at the Reno Sports Complex parking lot next to the Evans Canyon Trailhead.
Plan on up to 6 hours of trekking fun. The course has already been proofed and is ready to go. The course can be cleared in about 2 hours or so if you're hoofing it.
December weather can be unpredictable so bring your spikes and/or snowshoes. Last year the weather was ideal with sunny skies and dry. But every year is different here in the Truckee Meadows. We may have additional challenges at some of the checkpoints, so stay alert.

Come out and have fun. Bring enough nutrition and hydration for up to a 6 hour day of activity. Standard trekking/hiking gear is required along with additional outerwear for inclimate weather. Bring your friends. There are plenty of other attractions in Reno to make it a weekend vacation; casinos, miniature golf, and plenty of restaurants to name a few.
