Organiser's Description

ABOUT PROJECT CAMPBELLS CALL

For Nels Matson, theres no better way to help a special cause than by pushing himself to his limits. Its why the Tri 4 Number 1 (T4N1) Foundation Director is gearing up for his biggest challenge to date: attempting to break the world record for fastest run across the country all to help honor the legacy of a fallen Navy SEAL, Chris Campbell.

Chris Campbell was known for his big heart, infectious smile and positive personality. His mentality was to "keep it light and stay stoked on life. As a US Navy SEAL, Chris completed numerous deployments worldwide in support of the Global War on Terrorism. In 2011, Chris, along with 31 other military soldiers, 7 Afghan allies, and one service dog, were killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan. Nels was inspired by Chriss story, outlook on life and his last wish, which stated that if anything happened to him, he hoped for 100,000 people to make a difference by donating to the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) and help those who made it home.

Now, with Chriss mission fulfilled, T4N1 wishes to run in the Navy SEALs honor and share his story. Through an event called Project Campbells Call, Nels will support the WWP by attempting to break the world record for the fastest known time for a transcontinental run across the United States. That means, Nels will run 3,067 miles from California to New York in less than 42 days, six hours, and 30 minutes all to ensure Chriss memory and his legacy of gaining 100,000 donors for WWP are never forgotten.
